Is Bonterra Handicapped accessible?
Yes, the front of the building (facing the town green) has a ramp and the side door (down second ramp) entrance is wheelchair accessible.

Do you recommend reservations?
Absolutely, especially on the weekends.

Can we make reservations online?
Unfortunately, we are not able to accept reservations online at this time.

What are Bonterra’s hours of operation?

  • Bonterra is closed every Monday. 
  • We serve lunch:
    Tues-Sat from 11:30am-4:00pm. 
  • We serve dinner:
    Tues, Wed & Thurs from 4:00pm-9:30pm
    Fri & Sat 4:00pm-10:00pm
    Sun 12:00pm-8:00pm.

Is Bonterra able to accommodate large or private parties?
We are able to accommodate up to forty people in our private wine room .the entire dining room is also available for parties of up to approximately one hundred people.

Is there a sample private party menu available?
Yes, just click on the link to the private wine room.customized menus are also available.

Can we call or fax our lunch order in ahead of time?
Most certainly.  Our fax number is 860 426 2623.

Do you do take out?  Delivery?
Our entire lunch & dinner menus are available for take-out and we are available to deliver/cater large orders as well.

Our patio opens in the spring with full menus & service.

How do we get to Bonterra Italian Bistro?
Depends where you’re coming from

  • If you’re on 84 take exit 32 (Queen Street),,,make a right off the exit if you’re coming from Hartford, a left off the exit if you’re coming from Waterbury.take Queen Street straight into downtown Southington (approx 2 miles).you’ll pass the town green on your right hand side.the light immediately after the town green is Columbusmake a rightBonterra is on the ground level of that big stone building with the clock tower on the right hand corner.
  • If you’re on 691, take the first Southington exit (# 4)make a right off the ramp and a right at your first light (Meriden Ave)take road until it ends (approx 2.5 miles).make a right on Main Street.at second light (Columbus) make leftBonterra is on the ground level of the big stone building on the right hand corner.

Where is parking available?
Directly behind the restaurant in the free municipal parking lot...also on Columbus Ave.
